Why boxing makes the news?

What is happening in the world of boxing.

As they coincidentally have an interest in all kinds of sports extreme, I also noticed much boxing in my time. Now I wonder what happens with the sport of boxing.? Before I didn't have to look up or search for information I feel I need (really necessary for me).

I was watching my TV and sports news Eurosprt boxing was always up to date. Now I really have to search for my information and read special boxing news to keep up to date. I don't know if this is common worldwide, but Norway has gone boxing. I know that lack of cause is not a Norwegian boxers that have not participated in the upper part of anyway, but I wonder if it has something to do with the countries of the East dominates the sport.

I have to say that I am the kind of person that follows almost everything that happens in the world of sports without spending too much time for each niche. Mostly my main information, as stated earlier, the news. I simply don't have time to read each website and magazine for all the detailed information.

Return to the sport of boxing. It seems to me that boxing more or less disappeared from regular news when the Russians took the heavyweight titles. I remember when we were champions of the Western countries and the preparations of the largest in the world title fights. Now I feel lucky if came to know the outcome of a match for the heavyweight title.

To be honest, I learn more from Mike Tyson that I on the Russian Monster Valujev or the Klitsko brothers. What happened? Do Western countries lost their interest in the sport? Do we need a new Mike Tyson or Evander Holyfield to awaken once more journalists?

I remember the days when all the news brought and conducted until the tension before a fight and it was that I needed to watch the game to get the result as quickly as possible. I could stay up all night waiting for the event which took place at a different time zone. Now even does not mention the result in the morning's news already.

All I have to say is that I want to be boxing in the center of attention. I know that there are major sports to compete with about press coverage, but at least a few sentences. Perhaps Don King slowed down in their hype now, but I think that we need more people to follow boxing again.
